I hear from friends and family that being pregnant with a girl is GENERALLY more difficult than with a boy. I wonder why that is? I understand that this rule doesn't apply to everyone, but there have been studies that most women experience more nausea and fatigue with a girl rather than a boy.Is it true that being pregnant with a girl is usually more difficult than a boy in terms of ?
MY SISTER BREEZED THRU HER PREGNANCY WITH HER BOY BUT HER GIRL SHE WAS VERY SICKIs it true that being pregnant with a girl is usually more difficult than a boy in terms of ?
hahahahaaah no. no no no. im having a boy, and i was so ';morning sick'; (meaning all day, all night, every day) that i had to get an IV of phenergen at the hospital until they felt like i could go home and take the suppositories on my own. My friend is a week behind me, with a girl and shes had a picture perfect pregnancy. i think its more about how your body reacts to a surge of hormones, in addition to your own. I know plent of people who have been really sick and having difficulties with boys and girls. As for the rest of the pregnancy, I have preeclampsia, been on bedrest on and off since month 7, have gained massive amounts of weight without even eating all that much and if i dont take the suppositories, im still sick. So no, i dont think its gender related. at all. if it was, then it would apply to everyone. theres been studies but i doubt that these studies have provided conclusive findinds saying YES when youre having a girl its worse. Thats why these studies arent talked about in baby books or by drs. I could start a study right now saying anything i want, it doesnt mean its right.
I dont think so, thats really an old wives tale. I know about 10 women pregnant with boys right now and their pregnancies have been just as difficult as their other pregnancies with girls. My cousin is pregnant with her first which is a boy and she and the baby almost died a few times so far. Im pregnant with a boy and I have had two bouts of bleeding, gestational diabetes and now SPD.
Its just an old wives tale.
I wouldn't agree with that. I don't know if it's because I have an 18 month old to chase around, but this pregnancy, a boy, is much more taxing and exhausting and more difficult than it was with my daughter. Everything from the nausea and vomitting to the need for sleep is 10 times worse than it was with my daughter.
I was throwing up daily (sometimes more than once) up until 19 weeks and I'm having a boy. I'm also definitely experiencing fatigue, but I've been taking classes and working throughout my whole pregnancy and haven't had a chance to slow down, so that could be it.
Either way, when I was throwing up everyone said ';you're definitely having a girl!'; but the ultrasound CLEARLY showed boy. :)
I think so I had my little boy three years ago and it was a wonderful pregnancy only problems was nausea and heartburn thought I had pre-clamsia and I'm now pregnant with a girl and have had a rough pregnancy and back pain nausea, but no pre-clamsia yet! I guess its how you look at but in the end its worth it!!!
I had the perfect pregnancy with my son. No problems with morning sickness or anything like that.
I had a week of slight nausea with my daughter in the mornings.
This pregnancy, I am having all day nausea, i feel sick and tired all day. I don't know what I'm having yet.
I am having a baby girl and I have had a pretty easy pregnancy. No sickness or nausea.
My only big complaint is terrible heartburn but i dont think that is related to the sex of the baby.
I think it really depends on the person
Well, it's not true in my case! I'm having a boy and I've been sick and exhausted since very early on. There might be something to the theory, but I can't say I'd believe it 100% of the time!
I am having a girl and i had horrible nausea from wk 6 to wk 17.. and it was there 24/7 and i would vomit from just cooking raw meat and chicken.. but some ppl don't, i think everyone's just different.
well i had to boys and i had more trouble in that department than i had with my girl. it is all random. it is all different. sex of the child in my opinion doesn't have anything to do with it.
I think it's a myth even though with my daughter I had a tough pregnancy and with my son it's been easy.
My daughter was my first and I think that's the reason why it was so tough!
NO i am having a boy nad have had the worst pregnancy in the world its a myth that girls are harder I had to go to the hospital b.c i got so sick with my son
I'm pregnant with a girl, and I truly can't complain at all. I was never sick maybe for 2 weeks, in fact, I didn't even really feel pregnant up until the last week (33 weeks)
I'm pregnant with a girl. I didn't have morning sickness or anything... Just really bad heartburn and extreme fatigue. But this is my first...
38 weeks.
I am pregnant with a little girl and have had no sickness or anything. I get really tired easily and can sleep at least 10 hours a day, but I wouldn't say that's a bad thing!

It doesn't matter. Each pregnancy is different whether the baby is a boy or girl. I have both.
I'm having a boy and haven't been sick at all. My sister has 3 boys and 1 girl, she had two rough pregnancies, and two good ones!
Well, having a boy is much more difficult imo...
my mom said her pregnancy with me was a breeze. I think its more genetic than anything.
