In terms of numbers, is it true that America is a majority White country?

That is what my friend (a Black man) keeps telling me, I looked it up on the statistics and it said America was 65 percent White (I always thought that Hispanics and Blacks were the majority and then Whites made up about 20 percent).





So do the statistics lie? I find it hard to believe that America is 65 percent White.In terms of numbers, is it true that America is a majority White country?

Whites are the minority in only DC and Hawaii in terms of being the second largest group. In California, New Mexico and Texas, Minorities (Black, Asians and Hispanics put together) outnumber Whites as a whole.





In 45 or so states, Whites are still over 50 percent. By 2045 or so, MINORITIES as a whole will be over 50 percent but Whites will still be the largest group overall (there will be more Whites than Hispanics, more Whites than Blacks and more Whites than Asians but LESS Whites than Blacks, Hispanics and Asians put together).





As for your thoughts, you probably live somewhere in the Southeast or Southwest where there are not as many Whites (except for in rural areas). In the Northeast (especially New York, areas outside of NYC), Northwest and Midwest there are a lot of White people.In terms of numbers, is it true that America is a majority White country?
Ameria was settled by Europeans, they brought africans over in lesser numbers to themselves. Hispanics did not represent any quantifiable minority until the 20th century. Until then there were actually more Asians.





Today there are still more white people than any other race in America, but I believe that hispantics and latinos will comprise the largest minority by the end of 2020- If I remember the study correctly.
Blacks and Whites will be at a negative population growth within the next few years (both black and white women are alongside men as career focused individuals, and the races simply aren't having kids) and Hispanics will be maintaining their +16% growth. Whites and Blacks will both be the minority to Hispanics by 2040.





What does this mean? Not a whole lot.
Those statistics are correct...mostly. But I do not believe that it takes in to consideration the illegals, which would make the US 50-55% white with the gap closing.





In cities such as LA, San Diego, NY, that is not the case.

Terry....not sure where you came up with THAT ridiculous statistic. DC is around 55% black. Even Central Harlem is only 67% black with only 8% white, and other minorities making up the rest. No place in the US is 95% black.
It it is not true because a white person is only an Aryan,i.e. Persians,Kurds and some Indians etc.


And if you mean just the color not the race and/or color then it is still wrong because there is no human being on earth having a white color.But if you mean any fair color tanned or untanned not the race itself then you might be right.
The demographics are confusing. Like, places such as Washington DC are over 94% Black, and some areas of the South are Nearly 100% Latino.


I have always felt that Whites should be the Minority in these areas.
Im tired of all these lines of division that have been set up under the tyranny of political correctness , in the end we are all supposed to be Americans , not white , black , Hispanic, Asian etc , just American .
Whites are still the majority in the USA, but some states, like California, you will find hispanics slowly creeping up and they may surpass the whites some day.
well statistics don't mean what it used to.as i understand it.if your not black.your white.except for obama.he is not black.but they say he is black.it confuses me.
